Artist Susan B. Luca, from a family of New England artists, began her painting studies in New Hampshire at the New Hampshire Institute of Art, and the Sharon Art Center.

Susan, with her family, relocated to the beautiful coastal city of Newburyport, MA where she studied oil painting with Enrico Donati. She continues perfecting her art by studying in New Hampshire with Dennis Sheehan. Susan is an active member of the Newburyport Art Association.

 

Influenced by landscape painters Corot, George Inness, as well as artists from The White Mountain Painters, The Hudson River School and the Lynn Beach Painters Susan does many of her paintings outdoors to incorporate the feeling of nature into her paintings. She is a member of the Newburyport Ten Plein Air Painters and the Essex County Painters.
